The golf course at anahita golf & spa resort was designed to usga standards in 2008 by ernie els in collaboration with ciel properties on a 530-acre property on mauritius' east coast, between the hilly interior and the sparkling indian ocean.

Ernie laid out beautifully proportioned fairways in two separate nine-hole loops on a former sugar plantation, adding some old dry-stone walls and a links-like stream into the design.

Six of the holes are located on the beach, with the remaining three fairways following the rocky cliffs as they return to the clubhouse.
